- My overall experience is the meter is great and probably one of the most accurate on the market. What makes me shy away some what from this device is the shear expense of the strips themselves. However, actually testing yourself for ketones in your blood will likely be 2-5 times a month, but some might require more ketone information and thus will spend more to test more. There’s no really cheap systems on the market, but there are cheaper alternatives that can likely provide similar results. Wether the number is spot on or slightly off might not affect many people. I myself would use one system so what I’m looking for more is the changes in between testing. If my ketone levels read 0.8 but are actually 0.7 I wouldn’t care much. What i care about is if I get that 0.8 and then the next reading is 0.4 where I was expecting higher than 0.8 which would be a reflection of things I’m doing such as stress, exercise, diet , etc. Overall a great meter and the dual testing abilities is nice.
